Welcome

Hello and welcome to Railway Books Online.

Our aim is to provide a broad selection of railway oriented books via this online store, though our local customers can order here and pick up at our bricks and mortar store, The Sandwich Bookshop.

Although located in east Kent we have an affinity to the Great Western Railway as well as the Southern. Fans of the preservation scene and regular visitors to the preserved lines in Kent and Sussex, we are also big advocates of modern rail travel though of course we realise that the golden era has now passed us by - well, at least until a switched on government realises the contribution that rail can still make in our fight to reduce our impact on the environment. Railways are so much more sociable as well, so much better than travelling around in our little tin cocoons.

Anyway, enjoy the site and if you want us to source anything that you can't find - send us an email or give us a call.

Best regards,

John.
